We are pleased to send this message about the Golden Jubilee Congress 2017 of SLCOG. In keeping with the theme of the Congress” Women’s Health: Past experiences; Future agenda” we are in the process of organizing an exciting academic program with expert resource personnel from Sri Lanka and overseas. The highlights of the scientific program includes Pre-congress workshops on management of labour, endoscopic surgery, imaging, infertility, Obstetric emergencies and Pelvic surgery. The primary objective of the pre-congress workshops is to instill confidence in facing challenges faced by practicing clinicians.
The annual academic program supported by a galaxy of international organizations is an ideal platform to share research work and exchange knowledge. The outcome of the deliberations at large will enhance women’s health locally and globally. The research work presented will be published as a supplement in the Sri Lanka Journal of Obstetrics and gynaecology.
The academic session consist of many current topics and areas which are not discussed often but are of immense value to the practicing clinician and for postgraduate doctors. The Advisory and Organizing Committees are taking great care to make the event a memorable one. This is a great opportunity to visit the Pearl of Indian Ocean in the month of August 2017 to share knowledge and develop long standing memories.
